Mary Ellen and Marlan entertaining themselves while the girls napped...yes...she is coloring!
The next day while Tim worked we went to check out the Belmont Historic Firehouse. It's a really neat old building with lots of history so it was right up their alley. They also had a fire engine simulator where you really feel like you're on a fire call. They also had a short fire pole with a staircase for kids to slide down...the girls were a little young still but they both tried it with help.
We also got to have dinner with some cousins who were able to make a trip up to see Mary Ellen and Marlan while they were here.
One big focus of the trip was Disney Jr Live. This was our Christmas gift and we were excited to take the girls. Charlotte did well for at least half of the show, and then we ended up hanging out in the lobby with the other restless toddler siblings. After the show we were treated to a beautiful dinner courtesy of Tim's Aunt Leslie and Uncle Mike. We chose Mother's Bistro which is in the heart of downtown and it was simply beautiful. All of our food was delicious and we all shared some great desserts. That was the night before they had to leave to head back home and it was a really nice time. We look forward to seeing them again soon!
