The Orr Family: Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas this year. Gracie is at such a fun age, and was also old enough to understand that Christmas is not just about gifts. On the 23rd we went to the Christmas service at church, and the girls got to wear the Christmas dresses my mom spent hours and hours finishing just in time! On Christmas Eve while Tim was working Gracie and I made candy cane cupcakes for Jesus' birthday after having Rudolph pancakes and candy cake fruit for breakfast (thanks, Pinterest!). Then, after Tim was off work we went to my mom's for dinner. We had a nice dinner and she gave us our annual ornaments...mine was a penguin with a purse on its' arm representing our trip to Sea World this year where my mom almost lost her purse! Tim's was a Reese's peanut butter cup (his favorite) and the girls each got a beautiful princess shoe...we also opened gifts and had yummy dessert before heading home in the girls' new jammies to get to bed early (Santa and Mrs. Clause had work to do!)

Sitting through church went pretty well despite a little fussing! Gracie loved the glow sticks (instead of candles!)

On Christmas we had my mom and Tim's family over for brunch after doing stockings and gifts as a family. Gracie had lots of practice on her new microphone and even sang "Happy Birthday Jesus" to an audience. After naps we took the girls to Pam's house for Christmas dinner. We felt it was important to be there with her for her first Christmas without Bob. We had a WONDERFUL time visiting and having a prime rib dinner, and Gracie got the coolest bike!
