We headed to the airport for what Tim thought was to do my Aunt a favor and pick her up from the airport. We parked and headed to the pick up area but what he thought was Aunt Carrie was his mom and brother Tony! He was absolutely floored and brought to tears. His mom was just here in August but Tony hadn't seen us since the spring. It was touching to see how excited he and the girls were to be surprised!
We were going to do Zoo lights but because of wind and storm warnings it was cancelled. Instead we grabbed some dinner and did some shopping and came home to no power! It was fun though getting the girls ready for bed by candlelight and flash light. They looked so cute with their own flashlights navigating through the house.
Friday we took the girls to see Santa at Alpenrose Dairy. They have a great Santa and we got there early so the wait was short. They also have Storybook Village which is fun and other neat buildings to see. At the end we headed into the old theater and they had the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas movie playing.
Over the weekend we took Gracie to gymnastics, went to church, and then after a dinner on Sunday Tim and I got to go to the mall together and do some shopping there on a date.
Monday before the airport we took a lunch to The Grotto and walked around there.
It was a memorable visit for sure! The girls have no idea that they will be seeing Tim's mom and dad again in just over a month in Disneyland!
