Berkeley 2012

Awhile back, I took Gracie on a day trip to Berkeley to see my cousin play Lacrosse (for Chico State) against CAL.  My dad and Debbie were in the bay area and then were coming here for a quick visit before going home.  We spent the day with them, took Gracie to a children's museum, the Berkeley Botanical Gardens, and then finally to the game.  It was a LONG day for her, but she was a trooper.  At the museum it took her a good 20 minutes to warm up to anything.  After awhile, she played with some of the things they had there but it was a little small and a LOT overwhelming for my senses.  We were glad to get back outside and enjoy some spring weather walking around the gardens.  Then it was off to meet my uncle and cousin Jenny on campus at Cal to walk to the game.  I had never seen Lacrosse before, but I liked it a lot considering how fast-paced it is!  We visited with Doug after the game just for a minute before he had to board the bus to go home.  Cal is such a beautiful campus with all the old buildings.  We were able to see the sorority house that my grandma belonged to, and it was neat to walk the same campus that both my grandparents and my dad attended.
